About Kat Labs
Kat Labs is the development arm of Nacho the Kat, the largest and first fair-launched project on Kaspa. We are leading the charge in bringing DeFi to Kaspa with innovative products like KatScan (the first KRC20 & KRC721 Block Explorer), Kat Pool (an open-source Kaspa mining pool rewarding miners in KRC20 tokens), and multiple upcoming smart contract solutions.
 
With EVM-Compatible Smart Contracts arriving on Kaspa this year via Based zkEVM Rollups, we’re expanding our globally distributed team to build the future of DeFi on Kaspa!
 
 
Who We're Looking For
We’re hiring multiple Remote Contract Software Engineers with expertise in one or more of the following:
✔ Smart Contract Development (Solidity on EVM OR Rust on Solana)
✔ Backend Engineering (Node.js, PostgreSQL, Blockchain Development)
✔ Frontend Engineering (React, Next.js, TypeScript)
✔ Fullstack Leadership (CI/CD, Project Management, Cross-Team Coordination)
We need self-driven, independent engineers who thrive in async, remote work environments and have strong written & verbal English skills.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your role, you will:

• Smart Contract Developer – Design and deploy Solidity/Rust smart contracts on EVM or Solana-compatible environments.

• Backend Engineer – Build scalable blockchain-integrated APIs using Node.js & PostgreSQL.

• Frontend Engineer – Develop responsive UIs and dApps with React & Next.js.

• Fullstack Lead – Oversee architecture, CI/CD, and cross-functional project execution.

 
 
Requirements
 
✅ Experience in Solidity (EVM) or Rust (Solana) for Smart Contract roles
✅ Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL for Backend roles
✅ Expertise in React, Next.js for Frontend roles
✅ Experience with CI/CD, Project Management (for Lead roles)
✅ Strong understanding of Blockchain Development & Web3
✅ Ability to work independently in a remote, async-first environment
✅ Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal)
