Sportsbooks have fixed odds, high margins, and severely limit / remove bettors, all problems ProphetX solves with its peer-to-peer backend technology. ProphetX is an intermediary and never profits off their users’ losses. We are revolutionizing sports prediction with a sweepstakes promotions approach where users also have the ability to play for free.

To help support our rapidly growing company, we are looking for someone to lead our analytics group. In this role, you will support our business teams (Marketing, Operations, Product, Customer Experience, and Finance) by analyzing a wide variety of data generated from those groups to help identify areas of strength and weakness for the business. You will not only have the opportunity to analyze, but be expected to couple the results of analysis with business recommendations. In addition to completing strategic projects, you will support these teams through the implementation of data visualizations, generating daily reports, and helping others understand what is happening in their areas of the business quickly and efficiently. To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with a strong analytical approach to their work who has the technical knowledge needed to act on that approach.
The Role
Measure and report on the overall success of the business, directly with leadership, through the implementation of KPI tracking and data visualization
Spearhead advanced digital analytics initiatives to help drive business outcomes
Collaborate with the product team to identify potential areas of improvement by analyzing customer journeys
Assist our marketing team to deeply understand both current and potential players while developing strategies and metrics for retention and acquisition
Support the Operations team from a data perspective with reporting, alerts, or general troubleshooting
Build out the analytics team as the company scales to better support all areas of the business
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, finance, statistics, business analytics, or a related degree with analytics and quantitative emphasis
Minimum 5 years of related work experience in a business analytics role
2+ years of management experience
Well-versed in advanced statistical analysis techniques
Strong data skills, requiring deep knowledge of SQL and data warehouse management
Ability to approach issues and potential solutions from an analytical and data driven perspective
Comfort working in small teams or individually on several critical tasks simultaneously
Analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
High degree of proficiency with data visualization tools (we currently use both Sigma Computing and Amazon Quicksight)
Willingness to work on both macro business problems and small operational problems
Work experience or familiarity with the sports betting industry highly preferred
Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient database solutions, including schema design, indexing strategies, and performance tuning database management systems highly preferred
Experience with marketing analytics and associated tools highly preferred (CDP tools, attribution, marketing optimization)
